When is custom duty charged?

Jamaica Customs charges customs fees on items valued at USD $100.00 or more.

What if I don’t have a credit card?

No credit card? No problem. We charge only 4% of your intended purchase value, which also covers shipping from your online store to our Florida warehouse. Please note: you must pay us before we make any purchases on your behalf.

Do you have a referral program?

Flash ship rewards program is our way of rewarding our customers for loyalty, you will earn points for each dollar spent and for each person referred, which can be used for discounts on future packages. You will be notified via email or you can login to your account and view your balance.

What are restricted items?

Toy Guns, Pepper Spray, Weapons including Swords, Guns, Ammunition, Radar Detectors, Unprocessed Meat, Live Animals, Firecrackers, Explosives, Lighters and matches, Camouflage, Cash

Should invoices be sent after making an order?

Yes. Sign in to your Flash Ship account and upload each invoice on our website. Jamaica Customs requires your invoices to calculate customs duty, so please convert them to PDF first if you can.

Why am I paying General Consumption Taxes (GCT) to collect packages?

The Tax Administration Department of Jamaica (TAJ) now requires us to collect 15% GCT. We pay this GCT over to TAJ every month it is not FlashShip revenue.

What happens if I pick up/collect my package(s) and did not check it while in office?

Flashship Couriers recommends that all packages are checked before leaving our office. Packages collected and leaves our office we are not liable for missing or damage items.
